Rear Derailleur Question?
I was given a vintage 6 speed tour bike and the derailleur on it is damaged. It was a Shimano Positron FH derailleur.
The question I’m asking is that can I replace it with any derailleur? Or do I have to somehow find another Positron FH?
You can replace it with another derailleur, but you will have to replace the shifter as well, positron derailleurs use a shifter that has 2 wires going back to the derailleur instead of 1, so it won’t work with a conventional derailleur.
