Whopper Stopper Hellbenders are deep-diving crank baits, so depending on the topography of the bank you’re fishing, it might not be your best bet. You may get a lot of snags.
It is a crankbait though, meaning you cast it out there and it dives down deep when you reel it in. It can be good to cast it into cover and try to glance it off some structure.
Dark crawfish colors are the color i’d go with. Fishing from the bank with it can be tough if the water you’re fishing is shallow or has a lot of weeds at the bottom.
